Delivered under CATHSSETA, fully aligned to SAQA: Dance Instruction – NQF Level 4 (SAQA ID 79986). Music – NQF Level 4 (SAQA ID 65029) Graduates earn nationally recognised certificates plus mentorship, performance exposure, and pathways into employment or further study.

Community Based Non-Accredited Training

Flexible programmes adapted for community contexts: Introductory dance, music, and visual arts training. Personal growth, life skills, and confidence-building. Skills for basic income generation or community showcases delivered in schools, community halls, and partner venues, reaching youth who may not qualify for formal programmes.

Visual Art Development & Installation (Commercial)

Public, private, and architectural commissions with cultural narratives. Projects like Dr Pixley ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital art installations and Novo Nordisk World Diabetes Month installations.

MADE is committed to nurturing talent, promoting cultural heritage, and creating opportunities for young artists from marginalised communities.

Overall Goal

To use the creative medium of the arts to train, educate, empower, and uplift youth and adults from historically disadvantaged communities.

Primary Objectives

MADE aims to develop and promote the arts across disciplines, foster cultural tolerance and understanding, leverage the arts for social and economic development, and provide both accredited and non-accredited training to empower young artists and communities.

Secondary Objectives

MADE seeks to introduce arts programmes in early childhood development centres, promote participation and creative expression among youth, document and preserve diverse art forms, and facilitate knowledge exchange and mentorship to nurture the next generation of artists.

Community Outreach and Awareness

Beyond arts training, MADE supports vulnerable communities through: Disaster relief (floods, fires, economic crises). Humanitarian aid (food parcels, clothing, hygiene packs). Life skills workshops and cultural dialogue sessions. Historical #MyKwaMashuTownshipExperience campaign preserving the history and culture of the township. These projects build resilience, empathy, and dignity where it’s needed most.
